CONNECTING WIMBLEDON FANS WORLDWIDE WITH VODAFONE

Serving as the Wimbledon Championships’ Official Connectivity Partner, Vodafone invited Fuse and Smyle to return to Southwest London for another remarkable year of premium activations. Tasked to deliver a fresh new experience with existing scenic elements, Fuse and Smyle came together to surpass their incredible work from previous years with sustainable, cost-effective and innovative solutions.

From creative ideation to technical research & development, the agencies’ in-house expert teams sought to showcase Vodafone’s connectivity innovations with elevated guest experiences, new technologies, and shareable moments. Inspired by new brand guidelines and athlete campaign imagery, the remodelled spaces encouraged guests to stay connected to their loved ones at Wimbledon and across the globe with phone charging stations, polaroid printouts, and social media photo booth opportunities. A newly developed tennis accuracy game allowed fans to compete for a spot at the top of the leaderboard and achieve their own grand slam victory. Additionally, a luxury hospitality suite offered guests a chance to relax, participate in giveaways, enjoy a variety of F&B, and take advantage of a new photo opportunity that was widely featured in the press with celebrities.

Receiving over 20,000 interactions onsite and online, the project successfully underscored Vodafone’s commitment to innovation and connectivity while connecting Wimbledon fans worldwide.

Key takeaways:

  • Optimised for sustainability with repurposed scenic elements
  • Over 20,000 interactions onsite and online
  • Interactive and shareable activation features
